In the Dust of the Rabbi
The mission of God’s people has always been to live so that the world would come to know their God. This was true when the Hebrew people left Egypt and settled the Promised Land. This was true during the years of the Babylonian exile. This was true during the time that Jesus lived on earth. And it was true for the disciples who followed him as their Rabbi and, after his death and resurrection, obeyed his called to go out into the world and make disciples. In this study we investigate the world of the disciples, and learn how to live as Jesus’ disciples in our world today.
By weaving together the Bible’s fascinating historical, cultural, religious, and geographical contexts, teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan reveals unique insights into the Scriptures’ significance for modern believers. In the Dust of the Rabbi was filmed on location in Galilee, Priene, and Didyma.
